By booking a Public Address (PA) system from Skywave Home Appliances Kenya Ltd, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Packages and Pricing
    • All PA system packages are charged per day at daytime rates (up to 12 hours).
    • Packages range from 50 people to 1,000 people, with codes TSP-001, TCP-001, TMP-001, TBMP-001, TSLP-001, TMLP-001 and TLP-001.
    • Full package details and inclusions are shown on this website and can be customized based on your event needs.
    • Prices displayed are daytime rates. Night events and extra hours after 6:00 PM attract higher charges.
  2. Booking and Payments
    • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking.
    • For large events, deposit should be paid at least two (2) weeks before the event date.
    • The remaining 50% balance is payable on the event day, after setup and testing but before the event starts.
    • Once the event has started, PA hire is considered fully rendered service and cannot be reversed.
    • For selected corporate clients or long-term partners, extended payment terms may be allowed by prior written agreement only; late payment penalties of Ksh 3,000 per day apply if such terms are exceeded.
  3. Service Duration and Overtime
    • Each booking covers one event day (up to 12 hours) at daytime rates.
    • Overtime and night events (after 6:00 PM) are billed at double (2x) the standard hourly rate based on the selected package.
  4. Generator and Power
    • Generator hire is available at Ksh 500 per hour, fuel included.
    • Some packages include a generator for a limited number of hours; additional usage is charged per hour.
    • Clients are responsible for ensuring adequate power at the venue. Skywave is not liable for power failures or disconnections.
  5. Technician, DJ and External Equipment
    • A standby technician is provided with most packages for setup, sound check and monitoring.
    • The technician does not act as a DJ or MC.
    • DJ services can be arranged at an additional cost, starting from Ksh 2,000 per day, depending on experience.
    • Clients may use their own DJ and connect their equipment to Skywave’s system. Any damage caused by faulty or incompatible external equipment will be charged to the client.
  6. Client Responsibilities
    • Provide safe access and secure space for setup and operation of equipment.
    • Maintain internal control of the event to prevent misuse, theft or damage to the equipment.
    • For outdoor events, the client must provide tents or shelter to protect electronic equipment from rain, water and dust.
    • Any damage, loss or theft of equipment at the event site, other than that caused solely by Skywave staff, will be charged to the client.
  7. Public Performance Licences and Permits
    • Skywave does not provide performance licences or county permits (e.g. KAMP, PRISK, MCSK, county sound permits).
    • It is the client’s responsibility to understand and comply with public performance regulations, especially in Nairobi County, and to obtain all necessary licences and permits.
    • Any fines, penalties or shutdowns by authorities due to lack of licences/permits are the client’s full responsibility.
  8. Cancellations
    • Deposits are non-refundable.
    • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event may be charged the full event amount due to preparation and allocation of equipment.
  9. Liability
    • Skywave is not liable for losses arising from:
      • Venue power issues or authority-related shutdowns.
      • Failure by the client to obtain required licences or permits.
      • Weather conditions where proper cover/shelter was not provided.
      • Guest behavior, misuse, or third-party mishandling of equipment.
  10. Acceptance of Terms
  • Payment of the 50% booking deposit is considered full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the detailed hire contract issued by Skywave.
